Every Who Are Ya puzzle since launch, newest first. Answers are hidden by default so you can still play an old day — use the button below to reveal them. Each day has its own page with the player, their club, nationality, position, age, shirt number and height.

About the archive

Can I replay past puzzles?

Yes. Open any day in the archive and press “Play this matchday”. Archive games never count towards your streak or any leaderboard — otherwise the daily puzzle would stop meaning anything. That is also why answers in the list below are hidden until you ask for them.

Do answers ever repeat?

They can, but rarely. The answer is drawn from a pool of 533 players by a hash of the date, so a given footballer comes up roughly once every year and a half on average. Once a day has been published its answer is frozen and never changes, even when we add new players to the pool.

Why is today’s answer hidden?

Because midnight UTC is the middle of the afternoon somewhere else. Showing today’s answer on a page anyone can land on would spoil the puzzle for players in other time zones, so it sits behind a reveal button until the day rolls over.
